Engines roared and chrome sparkled as the OWCAs much-loved Auto Day made its triumphant return on Sunday 18 February at our Glen Waverley Campus. This year's theme, ‘Show & Shine’, was a spectacle to behold, bringing together car enthusiasts from all walks of life.

With over 50 cars on display, from ‘Everyday Drivers’ to ‘Cultural Icons,’ ‘Luxury’ vehicles to ‘Workhorses’ and everything in between, the event truly captured the essence of automotive culture, with each vehicle telling its own unique story.

Guiding the crowd of more 80 from the OW community through the day's festivities was the charismatic Mark Samlal (OW1982), who served as the event's Master of Ceremonies. With his infectious enthusiasm and knowledge of all things automotive, Mark kept the crowd entertained, providing insight into the history and significance of many of the vehicles on display.

Amidst the humming engines and gleaming paintwork, attendees had the opportunity to refuel and recharge thanks to the Collegians Football Club and their superb sausage sizzle, coffee from Wesley partner Rush Mobile Café, and a glorious gelato cart sponsored by the OWCA.

More than just a showcase of cars, the OWCA Auto Day served as a gathering place for alumni to connect, share stories and forge new friendships. Many thanks to Brad Gavin (OW1994) for supplying the trophies and prizes awarded on the day.
