This March, the Learning in Residence (LiR) team partnered with the OWCA and Wesley College Alumni Relations to collaborate once again on an innovative experience: a careers and networking event tailored for current boarding students, giving them the opportunity to connect with distinguished Wesley alumni across various fields.

Alison Wray, Head of Careers Counselling at the Glen Waverley Campus, warmly welcomed everyone to the communal Dining Hall for dinner, setting the stage for an evening of insightful discussions. OWs took the floor, sharing cherished memories of their time at Wesley.

The alumni then engaged in intimate discussions with smaller groups of students over dinner, who demonstrated keen interest and preparation by asking thoughtful questions about the experiences and career paths of each of our guests.

The event boasted an impressive line-up, and we thank the following OWs for their time:

  • Matthew Kuperholz (OW1990), AI Professor
  • Isabella Dunwill (OW1996), Actress
  • Sally Walshe (OW1997), Artist
  • Simone Mangelsdorf (OW1998), Psychologist
  • Natalie Vogel (OW1998), Barrister
  • Victoria Kahn (OW1999), Physiotherapist
  • Christina Guerra (OW2000), Procurement Manager
  • Natasha Nosiara (OW2018), Environmental Scientist

These exceptional individuals reflect the diverse talents and achievements of Wesley alumni, providing invaluable inspiration and guidance for current students as they navigate their own paths to success.

Buoyed by the success of the evening, we will continue to host more collaborative events within the LiR program, and across the wider College.
