The 2024 Cross Country season has officially kicked off! Running from April to September, the season includes a blend of on and off-road events, ranging from 4km to 21km. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting your running journey, there's something for everyone, with shorter distance options available for all types of runners.

OW Cross Country competes against 11 other APS clubs in a total of 12 events throughout the season. Five of these events have a team format, where the combined efforts of our runners contribute to our club's championship standings. In the previous season, OW Cross Country secured a very solid 6th place overall in the Open Division. And in 2024, we're determined to build on this result!

We're always on the lookout for new runners to join the club. If you're an OW, a current student or a family member of a Collegian, you're more than welcome to lace up your running shoes and hit the trails with the OW club. There's no pressure to participate in every event. It's all about having fun, staying fit and connecting with a like-minded community of runners.

For recent school leavers, joining OW Cross Country provides an excellent opportunity to stay connected with Wesley running.

As an added incentive, the annual registration fee is waived for runners under 20, making it even more accessible for younger athletes to get involved.

Contact Adrian Pile (OW2000) via adrian.pile@bigpond.com if you are interested in getting involved or would like any further information.
