Malcolm Hastings (OW1958)
Our community has been saddened at the passing of Malcolm Hastings (OW1958), a true and loyal friend of the College. Malcolm was a man of great intellect and compassion. The former Managing Partner of Pearce Webster Dugdales, for many years Malcolm provided legal representation and services for the College. He was a very active supporter of the Foundation serving as a Chair of the Sapere Aude Bequest Society, a role in which he provided valuable advice and support. Malcolm and Jan were regular attendees at OWCA Geelong Lunches and remained active members of the Sapere Aude Bequest Society. Malcolm is remembered with great admiration and respect; our sincere condolences are offered to his wife Jan and family.
Graeme Tibb (OW1957)
We are also saddened at the passing of Graham Tibb (OW1957), a valued and respected member of the Sapere Aude Bequest Society committee. Graham loved his days at Wesley – always evident in his enthusiasm when he spoke of reunions and encounters with OWs throughout his life. He was a keen cricketer and member of the 1956 tennis team. Graeme completed a law degree at the University of Melbourne, then joined Secomb and Tibb, his father’s legal practice. After several mergers with other legal practices, he worked in financial planning and then joined a trustee company. His working days finished with State Trustees, where his experience in wills, estates, and trusts proved invaluable for Wesley and the committee on which he served. We extend our sincere condolences to his wife Barbara and family.
