Obtiuary of John William Sunderland (OW1956)

John played for Collegians B Grade Premiership-winning side while still at school. He then played in the 1957 and 1958 A Grade winning premierships before moving to Uni Blacks to play for his father’s old team. Younger brother Robert (OW1958) took John’s spot and played with Collegians from 1959 to 1964. John also played for the Victorian Amateurs against South Australia.

He had a long career as an architect and was awarded Best Government Building Design of the Year in Perth on two occasions, late in his career. John died after a lengthy battle against Parkinson's disease.
