Dr David Paynter (OW1985) completed his PhD in Management at Swinburne on ‘Digital Orchestration - Proximity for the SME-led Global Value Chain evolution’.
What he learnt was the new global opportunities available to individuals and small firms to make tangible products using other resources (design, factories and logistics, for example).
He says, ‘My learning is that the use of agile technology can win over big business. A big thank you to fellow OWs who participated as one of the case studies in the research.’
Post PhD he joined global technology leader, SAP, focused on digital supply chain.
