Clunes: The Next Chapter Redevelopment
Our 20-year celebration last year had to be postponed because of COVID-19 restrictions but the College is planning to revisit this event towards the end of this year to coincide with the official opening of the new facilities. This $6m development is the most substantial since Clunes was first established and coincides with a refreshed educational program.
Work has recently commenced, and we are highlighting this campaign as part of our 2021 Annual Giving program. Recently, Clunes’ most passionate supporter, Elaine Pounder-Smith, visited the campus and met Nick Evans, Morag Howard, Nicki Isaacs and the new Head of Clunes, Daniel Lukies. It was an opportunity to personally thank Elaine for her ongoing benefaction and to be updated on the redevelopment. Elaine also met a number of students who spoke about their experiences, the program and making new friends from other campuses.
The development includes new teaching and learning spaces, a demonstration kitchen and additional student accommodation. There are opportunities to donate as little as $50 and we hope that current and past families and students will be part of this important project.
