Beauty and the Beast
'Beauty and the Beast' was staged at the National Theatre by Middle School students from Wesley’s Elsternwick campus earlier in August. A cast of 80 students retold the timeless tale through song and dance, accompanied by a live orchestra made up of students and staff.
Many hours of rehearsals went into the performances which delighted their appreciative audiences. Each cast member was enthralling and entertaining in their own way. Add a chorus of village people and enchanted objects with fabulous choreography, and the resulting musical production is yet another magical Elsternwick musical.
