Private Peter McBride
Private Peter McBride (OW1908), son of Peter McBride (1876), Agent-General for Victoria, was killed in action in France on 1 July, aged 21 years. At the outbreak of the war he enlisted in the ranks of the British Army without waiting for a commission, and joined the York and Lancaster Regiment.
