Online art gallery
Wesley College has a fine collection of art, including artworks in the Alec Cato Collection of Australian paintings dating from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century, as well as contemporary art.
Artists featured in the collection include John William Ashton, Sir Arthur Streeton, Sir Hans Heysen, Sir Lionel Lindsay, Norman Lindsay, Percy Lindsay, Penleigh Boyd, Harold Herbert, Sir Frederick McCubbin, Tom Roberts, Maude Sherwood, Louise Hearman, Melinda Harper, Fiona Foley and Rosslynd Piggott.
Selected artworks from the collection are exhibited at Wesley, but also loaned to public galleries for exhibition and research purposes.
The College continues to add to the collection with the acquisition of contemporary art, including student artworks. Artworks not on public display are available for viewing, by appointment.
